We offer women a safe and supportive harbor for expecting mothers. Anchor Bay Recovery offers a specialized pregnancy track to help women through both the transition of active addiction into recovery and the physical transition of pregnancy.
The pregnancy track is intertwined with the general programming with separate specialized groups to focus on expectant mother issues. We understand that women have unique needs due to the high correlation of addiction, trauma, and domestic violence in addition to a pregnancy.
Our program includes case management services to help access other resources such as:
- Medical needs
- Parenting support
- Child welfare
- Childbirth classes
- Healthy pregnancy and nutrition
- Emotional management
- Medication –Assisted treatment for opioid dependence
- Post delivery housing
The program focuses on finding more positive ways to cope with feelings, consequences of use, and making better, healthier decision for both themselves and their infant. It includes addressing issues such as depression, emotional-abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship issues, employment issues and accessing other social assistance (i.e. food stamps, bus passes, FMLA, TANF, meeting lists, etc).
Many expecting mothers fear seeking treatment out of fear of what will happen to their children after giving birth. The goal for Anchor Bay Recovery’s pregnancy track is to help the mother have a healthy pregnancy and to live a life of recovery.
Length of Stay
The day/night program with community housing requires the client to reside in our community housing accommodations. Community housing component is available through birth of the child. All other levels of care are accessible as needed.
